Feb 10, 2012

cool and rainy week..  we did get to see a pack of Javalina's and one posed..

if you look closely you can see the White Collar.. they are called Javalina's here in south Texas. Though some people think javelina are a type of wild pig, they are actually members of the peccary family, a group of hoofed mammals originating from South America.

the flowers are really starting to pop...

we headed out to Smittys Jukebox Museum..  kind of a scary looking place but we had to go in..

juke boxes from the 20's to 50's

next lunch..  we had gone to this place before but we had a malfunction with the camera, so we HAD to go back..

as you can see, no name on the building.  you have to know that it exists and where to look.  the place was filled with Winter Texans and a few locals.  our first time here we waited about 65 minutes for our burgers.  this time it was about 30 minutes. the meat is ground fresh on the premises and when they run out of meat, it is closed for the day!

the grill is not that big and the burgers are very big!

we actually split the burger today.

went for a 10 mile bike ride, a bit windy..  I might need to purchase another bike for next Saturday's big bike ride!

tomorrow is suppose to be cloudy but no rain.. we will see.  planning on going east towards the Gulf.
