New Orleans to Beaumont Tx

we left early on Monday for Beaumont Tx.  we stopped in Scott LA for a bit of lunch.  the Cajun Kitchen.  Cat fish and hot dogs..  very very good...

we did a little sight seeing in Beaumont starting with..

next to the:

off to see th Rainbow Bridge but we could not find it!!

but we did find an old house that was moved to a park..

after our little tour we went for dinner at The Schooner House for seafood.  we suspect that we will not get enough when we get to Alamo!  Eric had a wonderful Shrimp Etouffee (a bit spicy for me) and I had an absoutely delcious Shrimp Scampi!!  we need to go on a diet once we land....
